Get ready, benders and non-benders alike! Prepare to feel old! The globally acclaimed Avatar: The Last Airbender 20th anniversary tour is expanding its much-anticipated run. Nickelodeon, GEA Live, and Senbla have announced an additional matinee performance in London, set to take place at the prestigious London Coliseum on Saturday, 13th September 2025, at 2:30 pm.
This epic two-hour concert promises a truly immersive experience, featuring a live orchestra that will masterfully bring the series’ iconic score to life. In perfect harmony with the music, fans will be treated to a visual spectacle, reliving their favourite moments and highlights from all three seasons of the beloved animated series. This announcement is a cornerstone of Nickelodeon’s 20th-anniversary celebration of Avatar: The Last Airbender, a franchise that has captured the hearts of millions since its debut on 21st February 2005.
The enduring legacy of Avatar: The Last Airbender has spawned a rich and expanding universe, including the hit spinoff series The Legend of Korra, several bestselling book series, an upcoming theatrical film, and now, this spectacular live orchestra tour.
Pam Kaufman, President and CEO of International Markets, Global Consumer Products & Experiences at Paramount, said,
Avatar: The Last Airbender in Concert marks the 20th anniversary of this franchise in a way that joyfully celebrates the connection fans have with the original series. We are thrilled to be able to bring this experience to new cities worldwide, with some fun surprises in store for concert attendees.”
The tour has already seen phenomenal success since its launch in 2024, a testament to the show’s lasting appeal.
Floris Douwes, Producer and Managing Director at GEA Live, and Ollie Rosenblatt, CEO of Senbla, said,
We’re proud to be part of the global celebration of Avatar: The Last Airbender’s 20th anniversary. Since the concert launched in 2024, the tour has played over 200 shows, and sold 400,000 tickets worldwide, which is a rare milestone that reflects just how deeply this series continues to resonate with fans of all ages.”
This 20th-anniversary edition of the concert is more than just a musical performance; it’s a cinematic journey. Audiences will watch the entirety of the three-season saga on a full-size cinema screen, with the original dialogue and sound effects intact. The recorded score, however, is replaced by the powerful, live performance of a full orchestra, playing the Emmy® Award-winning compositions of Jeremy Zuckerman in perfect sync with the on-screen action. This special edition also boasts new artistic elements and surprises, offering a fresh perspective on the show’s legacy.

Jeremy Zuckerman, the creative genius behind the show’s original music, said,
When I started work on Avatar: The Last Airbender, it was a dream to have the music performed by an orchestra. Now, over 20 years later, with the concert tour, that dream has come true in a way I never could have imagined. It’s profound for me to see the Avatar community of fans — so wonderfully diverse — come together to celebrate the show through its music. The atmosphere of joy at the concerts is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. I’m elated that more people will continue to share in it.”
From the powerful rhythms of the taiko drums and the haunting melodies of the erhu to the soaring strings and delicate woodwinds, the music will transport the audience straight into the world of Aang, Katara, Toph, Sokka, and Zuko. Zuckerman, in collaboration with the original series editor Jeff Adams, has expanded his arrangements, adding inspired touches to mark this milestone tour. Whether you’re a lifelong fan or new to the Four Nations, this concert offers an unparalleled way to experience the magic of Avatar: The Last Airbender.
